Are you struggling to understand your child’s developmental stage and setting appropriate expectations?
Has you child been diagnosed with a mental health disorder and your wondering how to best support him/her at home?
Do you have your own trauma and unhealed wounds from your family of origin that are being triggered by your child?
Each intensive package includes a 90 minute Pre-Intensive Session, a customized Treatment Program,
and a 90 minute Post-Intensive Session.
What is Parent Child Interaction Therapy?
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based treatment
approach that focuses on improving the relationship between a parent and
young child (typically ages 2-7) by teaching parents specific skills to manage
their child's disruptive behaviors, like aggression, tantrums, and
noncompliance, through a combination of positive reinforcement and
consistent discipline techniques, all while enhancing the parent-child bond;
essentially, it involves coaching parents on how to interact with their
children in a more positive and effective way during play sessions with live
feedback from a therapist.
This is a 15 week program.
